Let the investor know at your very first conversation that you will NOT allow the investor to assign the contract For any written offer you receive, write into that offer form these six powerful words: “Buyer shall not assign this contract.” Now make sure both you and the investor initial next to this “non-assignment” provision. By doing this, you’ll save yourself from being tied up in a contract for weeks with a buyer who never intended to buy your property to begin with.
